WE ARE HERE TO HELP

WRAP provides free and confidential services to those affected by domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking/exploitation and to high risk youth in Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine Counties.

  • Access to an advocate, day or night, to discuss options or be a listening ear.

    After hours, WRAP’s phone lines are rolled to Safe Avenues in Willmar. All calls will be answered by Safe Avenues. If you need immediate assistance Safe Avenues will contact a WRAP advocate for you.

  • Raise awareness about domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking/exploitation, and high-risk youth and the support services available for individuals and their families.

  • Provide access to short and long-term emergency safe-housing options through hotel/motel vouchers, safe homes and connections to shelters throughout Minnesota. WRAP has 3 single family unit safe homes located within the WRAP 4-county service area.

  • Provide access to transportation options to ensure safety and security.

  • Connecting victims of crime that are facing homelessness with community resources, helping with the search for long-term housing options, advocating with landlords, and helping to obtain items needed to restart a functional safe home free from violence.

  • Connect those with self-identifying needs to resources and support services to help them get through, over, or under hurdles they are facing.

  • Assist with the completion and filing of restraining orders, attend hearings with clients, inform clients about the court/legal process, act as a form of support, and help process the outcome of the hearing afterward. 

  • Provide youth-focused information about online safety, setting boundaries, self-awareness, and healthy relationships.

  • Access to culturally specific resources.

  • Safe at Home is a state program that helps people who fear for their safety maintain a confidential address.

  • Provide victim-centered services specifically designed to heal the trauma experienced by Minnesota’s sexually exploited youth up to age 24.

  • Assist with setting up a personalized, practical plan that includes ways to remain safe while in a relationship, planning to leave, or after. Make your own safety plan here.

  • Support groups are available to those who have experienced abusive relationships. This can be in a group setting or one-on-one.

  • Walk alongside individuals, helping them to navigate their way through resources/community resources and or the court/criminal justice process.

  • Provide youth the ability to teach and learn from their peers about confidence, communication, safety, and life skills.
